M Health Fairview’s Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program closed this year after a remarkable 22-year run. Founded by Mike Muffenbier (now with Accelerated Physical Therapy), the program was later directed by Peter Ames (now with Summit Orthopedics) and most recently by John Corbo (now with Twin Cities Orthopedics).
Corri Stuyvenberg from the University of Minnesota PT Program spoke at the APTA Minnesota in Motion Annual Conference.
She presented “Physical Therapists’ Potential Impact on Parent-Infant Relationships in the Transition from the NICU to Home.”
Erin Simunds from Bethel University PT Program, Dan Kirkpatrick from Motion PT in St. Paul along with Concordia University PT students Reese Crowell, Tanner Johnson, and Andy Nordstrom presented at the APTA Minnesota in Motion Annual Conference.
Justin Staker from the University of Minnesota PT Program along with students Abigail Hockbein and Ulyses Perez, presented a Platform at the APTA CSM Meeting in Anaheim. Their topic was “The Complex Relationship Between Shoulder Laxity and Dynamic Stability in Division I Swimmers and Divers.”
Jared Frisk from TCO in Plymouth presented at the APTA Minnesota in Motion Annual Conference. His topic was “Alfredson Was Wrong All Along. Revisiting Eccentrics, Exploring Isometrics –
Treating Tendons From A Clinical Perspective.”
