Morgan Johanson from St. Catherine University PT Program presented an Education Session at APTA’s CSM in Anaheim.  Her topic was “The Other 50%: Understanding Barriers and Facilitators to Pursuing Academic Doctorates Among DPT Faculty.”  She discussed structural and personal factors of shaping doctoral degree attainment for faculty in DPT education along with solutions that expand access to academic pathways. 

 

Morgan is a contributing author to the 4th and 5th Edition of the Essentials of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy.  She was the Lead Investigator for the Entry-Level Competencies in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy.  Morgan is the Vice President of the Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy and is Board-Certified Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist.
