Allyson Sutkowi-Hemstreet from the University of Minnesota PT Program presented an Educational Session at APTA’s CSM Meeting in Anaheim titled “Social Justice, Health Equity and Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy: A Natural Alliance.”  She also published a paper in the Journal of Allied Health, 2025.  Her topic was “Where Do We Stand?: Antiracism in Health Science Education in 2024.” 

Allyson is Board-Certified as a Clinical Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy.  Her clinical practice is primarily with patients with complex medical conditions in the acute setting. Allyson’s scholarly interests include social justice and health equity in physical therapy education and clinical practice.
