Jared Frisk from TCO in Plymouth presented at the APTA Minnesota in Motion Annual Conference. His topic was “Alfredson Was Wrong All Along. Revisiting Eccentrics, Exploring Isometrics – Treating Tendons From A Clinical Perspective.”  Jared discussed the use of isometric vs. eccentric exercises for management of tendinopathies.  He reviewed the physiology of healthy and tendinopathy affected tendons, the healing process and timelines of these conditions, examined how isometric exercises change the tendon at a physiological level, identified different types of isometric exercises, and established the principles that make isometrics a potentially better option for management of tendinopathy.
